About Cheryl

About Me? I was born in a snowstorm and ruined a pot-roast! I dove into the world a Capricorn, ten days shy of the predicted Aquarius and confused Astrologers for years!

My most inspiring memories include: impersonating most of the characters on the Carol Burnett show and risking death to secretly watch new episodes; pretending I was various super-heroes; bringing genuine artefacts to school for show and tell; helping my father on an archaeological dig and breaking my arm believing it was my initiation into childhood. I constantly closed my eyes wishing I could change things, mostly myself, but secretly believing I was a part of something magical; here to inspire. It took a break-down to break-through to the magic.

I couldn’t wait to grow up, go to university and make a difference.  Unfortunately life never works in a straight line. It took me a while to realize that’s a good thing. Life took me through eight schools, before completing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology, then a Master of Arts and two years in Doctoral programs at two different universities. I even got to teach Sociology at a respected university.

Ultimately, these experiences inspired a break-down. But the Universe is wise. I was not meant to live inside my head.  Thank God/Goddess/All That Is!

Always obsessed with learning and being inspired, I went on to delve into the world of Natural Healing, completing a three year diploma program in Spiritual Psychotherapy and Vibrational Medicine. While at the same college I became a faculty member, then later completed Yoga Teacher Training and certification as a Mental Health Professional with the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counsellors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists.  Perhaps most precious, of all has been the gift of rediscovering my Voice, my magic.  Since then, I gave birth to Angels Attic, my little sanctuary to share yoga, meditation and healing arts therapies.  Much to my delight and utter amazement, I got to be a back up singer and was asked to audition for lead vocals in a good old fashioned rock band.  Although I declined the rock band, I got to cross it off my bucket list! Now I am blessed to love my furry four-legged family, my home, and very good friends.  I feel like I am finally finding my tribe!  The Universe is wise.

It took a lot of breathing-out, letting go, changing patterns, feelings and attitudes to make space for the light, the magic, and miracles that are waiting for me and for you to discover, embrace and celebrate. I hope my passion for inspiration inspires you to breakthrough to the magic within and all around you!
